I have been using this for about a year now, and I wanted to look at long term results before writing a review. My 15 year old doggie has the heart of a puppy, but was constantly limping, groaning when lying down or getting up, etc. My vet gave me carprofen, but it was expensive and seemed to bother his tummy. I decided to give these a try. It wasn't exactly immediate, but after about a week I noticed he wasn't favoring his back leg. Within a month he seemed to be in really good shape. He is not limping or favoring anymore, gets up and down a bit slowly, but that's expected with his age. This is not a dog in pain anymore! He's very mobile and not suffering. I faithfully give him 1 chew, twice a day. He thinks it's a treat. They tend to dry out over time; I wish that could be prevented, but it doesn't actually seem to bother him so I guess it shouldn't bother me. I HIGHLY recommend these because they work and are not a drug with side effects.

My two St. Bernard's are getting way up there in age and at twelve years are considered elderly. As with the vast majority of large breeds they unfairly seem to get more joint and muscle issues than their smaller kind. I've tried virtually every hip and joint care supplement available with almost no success. They all say that their blend of different ratios of MSM, Chondroitin, Glucosamine and maybe Turmeric or some other ingredient will have your pet acting like a puppy again. I don't a couple of 150 pound plus again for a while I just want my dogs to not hurt all day long. When I finally decided to try these hemp chews I had no great expectations as to how well they would work but after a couple of weeks I was becoming less a sceptic and finally saw my kids able to get up from laying without any moaning or groaning and actually being able to try and chase a squirrel or rabbit they would never ever in a million years catch. So, without sounding like a salesman I can truly say that I am absolutely impressed and will definitely be buying more so I've always got it handy. No my elderly kids don't jump around the house but they do get up and actually ask to go out again just to walk around our two acres. This is something they used to do numerous times a day but slowly stopped doing the past couple of years. So if I can see them have a pain free life in their golden years I will do anything in my power to give them that life I will. This has been a game changer for our aging dog. She has had knee pain and after taking her to the vet and getting doggy Tylenol for a few days, we started her on these every morning. She has me trained now to make sure she gets her treats. We've been on these for almost a year and her knee doesn't seem to bother her anymore (on most days) and she is gets her puppy energy every now and then and wants to play at a higher level.
